PARENT PARTICIPATION (COMMITMENT)
Our school was organized in 1953 as an adult education co-operative
school by a group of mothers who wanted a formal socialization experience
for their children. They also wanted to be involved in that experience.
You Make the Difference
We feel that parental involvement is important because it
keeps you in touch with your child's first formal educational experience.
It provides an opportunity for you to be informed about your child’s
social development and pre-school experience and to learn some valuable
parenting and educational techniques. Participation in a co-operative also
provides parents an opportunity to be involved in policy making and the
development of a school philosophy if they so choose.
